Former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo is on the spot after a local tabloid published a story where a lady, 21, is accusing him of sleeping with him with the promise to pay her university fees.
The lady identified as Elvyna Lusaria narrated to the Nairobian how she was linked to Jirongo when she was desperate for someone to pay her fees only for the politician to sleep with her and abandon her.
Lusaria also shared screenshots of her alleged conversation with Jirongo, saying he met her at a hotel in Nairobi where they had drinks before he booked an apartment worth KSh 30,000 for her.
It is at this apartment that Lusaria claims Jirongo came over and had unprotected intercourse with her but never paid the KSh 200,000 he had promised to give her.
Instead, he gave her KSh 12,000 and told her to take contraceptives to avoid being pregnant.
Lusaria’s efforts to reach out to the former legislator proved futile as he couldn’t be traced. He would get back to her occasionally through text messages but has never given her the money, she said.
