A popular radio presenter has launched a scathing attack Daniel Ndambuki, alias Churchill and gone on to reveal the meagre amount each comedian takes home.
In a series of posts on his Twitter
account, Rapcha the Scientist said Ayeiya “died poor after selling all
his jokes to Churchill.”
The
lad who hosts a show on Hot 96 said the money the deceased comic should
have made was enough to take his children through college, adding that
people like Eric Omondi were clever and walked out early.
But that is not all. He went ahead to
reveal that the comics who perform on the show take home a paltry
Sh4,000, though it’s still not clear whether the amount if for each
episode or per month.
Rapcha revealed that he was once a stand
up comedian on Churchill Show but he walked out when he realized that
things were not making sense.
He realized that fame without fortune is
useless because he could not pay his bills let alone meeting his daily
needs with the money he was making from the show.
