Opposition MPs Who Defected To Jubilee Receive A Weekly Allowance Of Shs100,000 From DP Ruto, Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka Reveals

Cord co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka has claimed that Deputy President William Ruto has been dishing out Sh100,000 to legislators who joined the newly formed Jubilee Party (JP).

Speaking to the Saturday Nation, the Wiper leader rubbished rumors linking him to a possible Cabinet Secretary position in the Foreign Affairs ministry following the seconding of the incumbent Amina Mohamed to be the next of the African Union commission.

He said that Kenya ‘must be saved from Mr Ruto who thinks leadership can be bought’. He was quoted by the same daily as saying:

“Ruto said the only option was for Kambas to join government. But who said that option included Jubilee? This country must be saved from Mr Ruto. When you give the impression that you can buy everyone – and there are those who go there to collect Sh100,000 every weekend – what does it say about the government you are running?”

Kalonzo ruled out any possibility of joining the Uhuru led party terming it as a hub of nepotism and grand corruption.

The former Vice President explained his absence from ODM’s 10th birthday saying attending the fete was tantamount to endorsing Raila as the Cord flagbearer.

He said that Raila must tame his sycophants if he wants Cord to oust Jubilee.

“Raila, Wetang’ula and I have no problem. Squabbling is not between the three of us. The problem we have are the sycophants, the extremists. Who doesn’t know within Cord and Jubilee that ODM can’t win without Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetang’ula? Even a child knows.” Kalonzo said.
