With less than exactly a week to go,
Kenyans are anxious to see the awaited multi-billion-shilling Standard Gauge
Railway flagged off. Former Radio presenter Caroline Mutoko , however, has a
couple of things she thinks need to be corrected first before the project is
launched or else, it will be a flop. In her popular Vlog, Mutoko told the
president she wasn’t impressed with the project at all and that he should fire
all the people who having been working to make it a success.
“No, Imagine NO,” Mutoko tells Uhuru
in her Vlog. “I need you to find the person who has done this and deal with
him."
“It’s horrible,” she further
complained about her the SGR’s pamphlet.
Mutoko, in the video asked the
president to ensure the SGR project has a name first. She compared it to Mpesa,
Eazzy pay and other prominent projects launched in Kenya. Uhuru will launch the
project on May 31 2017. He’s expected to ride the Train from Mombasa to Nairobi
with at least 200 other people who will include top journalists in the country.
She asked the president to ensure
these journalists will be the ones who have been following the project and not
social media addicts who post pictures per second.
"If at least 300 people attend
the launch event, and not akina Adelle[Onyango], people who live their lives
taking photos, No. It will fail." says Mutoko. Watch the clip below
