We Are Not Ready For A ‘Dog’ As Our Next Governor, Starehe MP Maina Kamanda Attacks Sonko-Video

“For sure, Nairobi people will not give Nairobi to dogs” this is a verbatim statement by Starehe MP Maina Kamanda whose hatred for Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko is an open secret.
Sonko, who won the Nairobi gubernatorial Jubilee Party ticket in the just concluded party primaries, shared the video of Kamanda urging President Uhuru Kenyatta not to support his candidature.
In a vitriolic attack, Kamanda described Sonko as a ‘dog’ who was unfit to run Nairobi. While addressing a church gathering where President Uhuru was among the congregants, the Starehe MP said that Nairobi needs mature and level headed people at the helm of its leadership.
He went on to call the Sonko Rescue Team as a stupid initiative meant to hoodwink gullible Kenyans.
Sonko has had the last laugh after he won the Jubilee ticket with a wide margin while his political tormentor lost to newbie Jaguar.
The Senator described Kamanda as a tribalist in a long post on his facebook page.
I respect him a lot as he is the same age as my real father, but his kind of politics has been overtaken by events. I know my brothers and sisters from the Kikuyu community very well; I have stayed with them, and will continue working for them and all other Kenyans disregard of their tribes.”
