Starehe MP Maina Kamanda has accused Jubilee secretary general Raphael Tuju of plotting to rig him out in the party primaries.

Kamanda is currently awaiting a verdict from the party over the results of the Starehe primaries.
Jubilee officials last Thursday declared the MP winner with 10,374 votes, while musician Charles Njagua, also known as Jaguar, received 8,391 votes.

Jaguar has disputed the results and was accompanied by his supporters in protests at the Jubilee headquarters. Tuju had said the nominations will be repeated.

But Kamanda on Monday alleged that Tuju was to blame for the nominations row in the constituency.
"I do not understand why the party leadership allowed nominations to be conducted with IDs only, yet other parties were using their member registers. This is where the rain started beating us," he said.
The MP accused Tuju of using his agents to allow members of the opposition party to participate in Jubilee primaries to rig some people out.

"At this rate, Jubilee party is losing grip on the city. It is upon the party leadership to re-strategise on how they want us to run city politics if at all they want to win a single seat," he said.
