PK, popularly known to Kenyans as
Peter Kenneth is in ‘mourning’ after losing the Jubilee Party ticket for
Nairobi County gubernatorial seat. Peter Kenneth who lost to his nemesis Mike
Sonko in the just concluded party primaries has exposed top Jubilee officials,
who he accused of propagating his lose. Peter Kenneth, in a live interview on
NTV at St Stephen's ACK Church at Jogoo Road, said the Jubilee Party primaries
were biased, shambolic and did not resemble the people’s will.
The former Gatanga Member of
Parliament cited over 93 complaints that had been forwarded to the party
headquarters over the Jubilee nominations in Nairobi. In PK’s own words, the
whole nomination process in Nairobi was a total mess.
"I heard somebody somewhere
sitting in a big office, saying that some of us have to kneel down for him so
as to win. I can never kneel down for anyone, unless he becomes a priest in a
church, so as I kneel down for him, for prayers. Who is he? I only kneel down
for God,'' Kenneth said on Sunday, April 30 2017.
Peter Kenneth however said he will
not give up and that he would still make it to the ballot no matter what.
