Nominated MP Isaac Mwaura is a bitter man after he spent millions of
shillings in campaigning for the Ruiru Jubilee party ticket.
The youthful politician revealed during an interview on Citizen TV that
he spent Sh29 million shillings campaigning for Jubilee ticket in the
just concluded party primaries.
He was quoted as saying:
I will not lie to Kenyans...by the end of last year, I had spent about Sh20 million."
Mwaura is probably ruing ditching ODM and burning bridges with his former party boss Raila Odinga.
Thought to be a strong candidate, Mwaura got 4,632 votes while is competitor garnered 10,900.
During campaigns, Mwaura alleged that he was shot at by his political
rivals. He shared photos of his car that had been sprayed with bullets
in an attempt to assassinate him.
His ear had also been pierced by a bullet- police went on to dismiss the
report by the legislator. His critics poured cold water on his claims
saying he was after sympathy votes.
Mwaura is yet to disclose his next political move after being humbled in
the ballot box. What we know, however, is that he wont run for the seat
as an independent candidate.
