Wiper party Attacks NASA After Wiper Named Raila As The Flag-bearer

Wiper party issues a surprise statement after Wiper named Raila as flag-bearer

Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper party has issued a statement on the morning of Friday, April 28 after NASA unveiled Raila Odinga as the flag-bearer.

The party through Francis Nyenze says that the Kamba nation has been short-changed to vote for Raila again in 2017. " We knew there was a MOU in 2013 that was trashed, we are sure this will happen again, Kalonzo was given a raw deal," Nyenze told the press. According to Nyenze, Kalonzo had been convinced to support Raila again thereby betraying the Kamba nation which was expecting him to be named as the flag-bearer.

The Wiper party revealed that they were expecting Kalonzo to be named and were shocked by the new development. Prior to the announcement, Wiper had given NASA a 7-day ultimatum to announce Kalonzo as the flag-bearer or they would leave the alliance. The deal, as NASA announced, is to have Raila as a one-term president and later have him replaced by Kalonzo Musyoka.

He also vied for president in 2007 but controversially lost to Mwai Kibaki. A post-election violence erupted and close to 1300 Kenyans were killed and many more displaced.

Should he win, Raila will be president for only one term according to his statement at Uhuru Park.
