In what could possibly be the most
stunning Jubilee nomination yet, a watchman emerged the winner, beating the
incumbent in the Kichebor ward MCA nomination election on Tuesday, April 26.
The watchman, Eric Bett, won over residents with his humility as he campaigned
using a mkokoteni while his opponents rolled around in convoys.
According to residents, Bett’s win is
punishment to teach Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter a lesson in
leadership.
According to Radio Jambo, Keter was
in the habit of imposing leaders on residents and this time, he threw his
weight behind Hillary Chepkwony alias Cheplanget. Bett beat Chepkwony and the
incumbent Joel Siele in the Jubilee nomination election
