Nominated MP Oburu Odinga has been given a lifeline in the the race for the Bondo ODM ticket, after the party’s elections board nullified the victory of his rival Gideon Ochanja. Following the nullification, Oburu Odinga was declared the winner of the nominations.
Earlier on Wednesday, April 26, all roads seemed to pointing to a Gideon Ochanja win after the incumbent reportedly garnered 28,446 votes against Oburu Odinga’s 4000.
However, the Bondo primaries have taken a new twist after We received reports that after a recount, Ochanja’s results have been nullified, and Oburu Odinga had consequently been declared winner.
Dr. Oburu Odinga has now been declared winner with 15, 784 against Ochanda's 9538.
