
Reports reaching indicate that
Waiyaki passed away on Tuesday, April 25 at the Agha Khan Hospital.
Munyua Waiyaki served in several
government positions throughout his political career that dates back to the
60s, and will mostly be remembered as the Member of Parliament for Kasarani
constituency after losing the Nairobi East seat to another veteran Tom Mboya in
1962.
He also served as a doctor during
the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta's reign, after he was introduced to the first
President by his father. He also served as the permanent secretary in the
Health Ministry and later moved to the Ministry of Housing
