Jubilee MP Arrested In Uganda On Allegations Of Recruiting Ugandans To Register As Kenyan Voters

Teso South MP Mary Emase and her bodyguard were arrested today on allegations of recruiting Ugandans to vote as Kenyans in the forthcoming general elections at Mawero in Uganda.

The legislator bodyguard was disarmed by the Ugandan police before being locked up.

Cord leader Raila Odinga had claimed that the Jubilee Party was recruiting foreigners as Kenyan voters. Raila alleged Ethiopians, Somalis, Tanzanians and Ugandans were being paid to register in their numbers to ensure Cord does not take the realms of power in the August 8th polls.

National Assembly leader Aden Duale rubbished the claims saying that Cord was on panic mode.
