The National Super Alliance (NASA) has finally named and endorsed its presidential flag bearer after many months of waiting.
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga will be flying NASA flag and deputised by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka in the August

polls.

Raila and Kalonzo were endorsed during a rally attended by thousands of supporters at Uhuru Park on Thursday.

Political analysts and commentators had predicted a Raila- Kalonzo line up to face President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August election.

The Raila-Kalonzo line lost against Jubilee government in
 2013
and already some analysts are predicting a loss for the alliance in August.

According to Peter Ngure, a Kiambu based political analyst, nothing has changed much to guarantee a win for Raila-Kalonzo line up in August.

Ngure notes that Raila-Kalonzo line up does not pose a threat to the Jubilee government's re-election bid.

“I know President Kenyatta and his deputy are celebrating NASA’s Raila-Kalonzo endorsement because they know it is an easy win line up to beat,” he said on Thursday.

Ngure noted that NASA will have to work hard to woo numbers for Raila and Kalonzo to defeat President Kenyatta in August.

The political analyst added that nothing has changed much for NASA even after securing Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) leader Isaac Ruto’s support.

“Governor Ruto adds little support to NASA and is not enough to scare President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election bid,” he added.

Ngure, however, said that NASA can beat Jubilee only if it works on effective campaign strategies.

He said that NASA can also use Jubilee’s unfulfilled promises to send it packing in the August polls. The analyst also warned of voter apathy in NASA strongholds because of the Raila-Kalonzo combination.

The analyst noted that many NASA supporters are tired with Raila-Kalonzo team up and might opt to stay away during the Election Day.

Ngure said that Jubilee’s re-election is not under much threat adding that NASA has a lot of homework to do if it wants to defeat UhuRuto in August.
