Martha Karua has been thrown into mourning after her niece, Marcia Wawira succumbed to injuries from an accident along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
Wawira was on an ill-fated car alongside Stephen Musyoki, Maureen Kogi and Derrick Mills. They were coming from the annual Daystar Star of Excellence Awards ceremony at Two Rivers Mall.
Breaking the news on social media, Martha Karua revealed that her niece had succumbed to injuries at the Nairobi West hospital. Her schoolmate, Derrick Mills who was also involved in the accident and has since been discharged from the ICU and is in the normal ward at Nairobi West Hospital.
