A member of parliament allied to the Jubilee Party has revealed who is
likely to deputise Deputy President William Ruto when he vies for
president in 2022.
Kiharu constituency MP Irungu Kang'ata said Sunday, March 19, that
leaders from the Mt. Kenya region have already identified former Gatanga
MP and Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Peter Kenneth as ideal candidate
to deputise Ruto. The MP said that Central Kenya residents believe the
pair will deliver the presidency should they choose to work together.
“Right after President Uhuru Kenyatta, we shall support Ruto for the
presidency and Kenneth as his deputy, which is already a concluded
matter,” Kang'ata said as quoted by Standard.
Uhuru will battle with NASA as he seeks to retain his seat.
