Maina Kamanda has said backing Peter Kenneth for Nairobi governor cost him the Jubilee Starehe MP ticket.
He claimed that they were coerced to support the former Gatanga MP who was bidding against Senator Mike Sonko.
The Senator won the party polls which were also contested by former Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru.
"I was coerced to support Peter Kenneth by forces I will not disclose right now. But we have buried the hatchet."
"That issue of Peter Kenneth contributed mainly to the downfall of most candidates in Nairobi," the MP said on Thursday.
He said this when he conceded defeat in the competition pitting him against musician Charles Njagua alias Jaguar.
"All the same, we are not crying foul about it as we now focus on the future," Kamanda told journalists at his Muthaiga home.
Jaguar was declared the winner on Wednesday after protesting the results that found Kamanda got 10,374 votes against his 8,391.He claimed that they were coerced to support the former Gatanga MP who was bidding against Senator Mike Sonko.
