Kiambu Governor, William Kabogo, has said that he was surprised by being beaten by Kabete MP, Ferdinand Waititu, during the just concluded Jubilee Party primaries.
Waititu who is popularly known as Baba Yao in social circles white washed Kabogo and clinched the Jubilee Party ticket to vie for the Kiambu Governor’s seat.
But speaking at Thika Level 5 Hospital on Friday, Kabogo said that he did not imagine being beaten by his rival, Ferdinand Waititu.
He said the humiliating defeat came as a surprise since he did not expect to be thrashed by a goon like Waititu.
“My development track record was my guarantee for re-election, nothing else,” Kabogo said.
However, Kabogo said on Thursday next week, he will make a major announcement that will shock the entire Mt Kenya region.
Impeccable sources said Kabogo may endorse NASA presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, as the President in August since he thinks Deputy President William Ruto was among the people who plotted his defeat in Kiambu County primaries.
