SHOCKING POLITICS: Finally MIKE SONKO agrees to step down for his ENEMY Peter Kenneth for Nairobi Governor...no Sworn enemy in politics!!!

With barely five months to the General Election, politics are hotting up especially in the race for the coveted Nairobi Governor seat that has seen the rivalry between Senator Mike Sonko and ex presidential candidate Peter Kenneth, getting uglier by the day.

The two are fighting it out for the Jubilee Party ticket even as Sonko maintains the former Gatanga MP is being favoured by the party’s top brass who want to give him express nomination.

For starters, the business community reckon Peter Kenneth is more managerial whose wide profile makes him a better CEO of country’s capital, unlike the flamboyant Sonko who boasts street cred and political hooliganism.

Just recently, the Sonko-Kenneth feud took a completely new turn after Kenneth called the Senator a hooligan. Not one to let things just pass, Sonko retaliated on live television calling his rival all manner of names including “thief”, “albino” and “chewing gum”.

Sonko had a change of hurt and apologised later but his outburst has become an endless topic of discussion in many a forum. He continues to receive condemnation from various quarters.

Now, a recording has surfaced online of Sonko praising and endorsing his rival Kenneth in the Nairobi gubernatorial seat.

During an interview with Radio Maisha  Sonko is asked about the pressure he is getting from the Jubilee leadership to step down from the Nairobi gubernatorial race, and quite surprisingly, he says he would step down for Kenneth.

He even goes further and praises the former legislator for his exemplary performance in managing the Gatanga CDF.

“If Uhuru tells me to leave the seat, I will step down. We can bring on board a person like Peter Kenneth. When he was in Gatanga, he had done wonders with CDF by helping people,” says Sonko in the audio clip that lasts less than a minute clip.
