Raila was ready to be Chief Minister in Jubilee, Mwaura says

Nominated MP Isaac Mwaura has revealed interesting details about NASA’s Chief Minister’s position.

The MP who was nominated to Parliament on an ODM ticket and later decamped to Jubilee said that Raila Odinga had talked to him about his readiness to take up the position of a Chief Minister should he work with Uhuru Kenyatta.

“I must also confess here that when I respectfully went to tell Raila Odinga I want to move from ODM to Jubilee, he actually suggested to me about the Chief Minister position. He talked to me about that without disclosing further details,” Mwaura said on Citizen TV Friday.

He divulged details that Raila told him that he would take up the position in the event that he was to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.

“It’s a fact of reality. In fact, he was telling me that actually, if he were to work with Uhuru, then, that is a position he was willing to occupy. But that never came to happen because of our very able deputy William Ruto.”

On Thursday, NASA announced its line-up to beat Uhuru Kenyatta in the August
 8
polls.

Raila and Wiper Party boss Kalonzo Musyoka will be Presidential flag bearer and running mate respectively.

The position of Chief Cabinet Secretary will be taken up by ANC party boss Musalia Mudavadi while Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) takes up the position of Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary in-charge of the public sector and Foreign Affairs.

Latest entrant to NASA, Bomet Governor and Chama Cha Mashinani Party boss Isaac Ruto will be the deputy Chief Minister in-charge of Devolution and Finance sector
