Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has
caused an online buzz after a video emerged of him praying vigorously after
beating Peter Kenneth in the Jubilee Nairobi primaries. Sonko, beat his closes
rival Kenneth by amassing 138, 185 votes, compared to Kenneth’s 62504.
Following his victory, the current
Nairobi Senator held somewhat of a short worship service at his premises on
Thursday, April 27. Among the various personalities in attendance included
fellow Jubilee nomination victors John Kiarie (Dagoretti South), nominated MP

What seems to have touched his fans
was Sonko’s seemingly humble move of going down on his knees in intense prayer
for the victory which a few weeks ago seemed like a longshot. The Sentaor, in
his quest to clinch the ticket, has been through some rough patches, with
reports at some point suggesting that he was ready to run as an independent
