Student Ends Up In Hospital With Serious Injuries After Use Of Plastic Bag As Condom

Two college students in Uganda have landed up in hospital with serious injuries after they used a plastic bag as a condom.
The couple, who were having sex for the first time, were reportedly too shy to buy condoms but still wanted to use protection. Since they decided to try penetrative sex with a plastic bag, they are now being treated for excessive bleeding, genital lesions and abrasions.
The unnamed couple’s choice of using a plastic bag as protection was obviously not very well thought out since doctors treating them say that the thick plastic bag, which gave absolutely no lubrication or elasticity, scratched the couple’s genitals to the point of bleeding. The doctors also said that the plastic bag could have also caused vaginal tearing.
This incident also highlights the need for proper sex education at the level of schools and colleges so that a young couple trying to have sex for the first time can understand why a thick plastic bag can’t replace a condom.
People, no matter how shy you are or how embarrassed you think you’re going to feel at the pharmacy, don’t have sex without a condom. And absolutely don’t try to make your own condom.
